2014_women_winnersOur races take place in Burnham Beeches, (near Farnham Common Bucks), one of the most spectacular natural woodlands in the country. They offer challenging running for serious runners as well as fun and enjoyment for those not so competitive.

  • Both the 5K and 10K races are over the same course, which traverses an undulating off-road route of pathways and woodland – so be prepared for a really good test. Dogs are not permitted.
  • The 5K (3 miles) race, will start at 10:30 and is one lap of the 5K course. It will also appeal to “fun” runners, walkers and youngsters (12 and over).
  • The 10K (6 miles) race, for runners age 16 and over, will also start at 10:30 and is two laps of the 5K course.

Race No.img_2328
The race number must be attached to the front of your running top. Do not remove the tag as it will be read at the finish. Runners must run with the number allocated to them. THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, especially in the event of an accident. This is a condition for entering the race, any runner identified as not doing this will be disqualified and barred from future events. If you lose your number report to the information desk.

The course will be marked with arrows. No signs and you are going wrong! Please obey the marshals’ instructions. They are there for your convenience and safety as any cross country course has many potential risks. Should an accident occur, please ensure that the marshals are informed immediately.

Stay in order once you have crossed the line. Keep moving down the funnel, so your correct time/position can be recorded and to allow your bar code tag to be removed.

Drinks will be available near the finish after the race. There is also a cafe near the start that will serve more substantial refreshments and snacks
